mips

MIPS (Million of Instructions per Second) A unit of measure to gauge speed of a CPU. They are a representation of how much work a computer can do in a given time. MIPS is usually considered for higher end computing, and used as a way to measure the cost of computing. More MIPS for the same cost is better value.
